Infrastructure update — 26 September 2026
Behind the recordings, Tango Time Travel also depends on the infrastructure that brings the catalogue and downloads to you. Our renewed setup uses two dedicated servers, ttt1 and ttt2, equipped with NVMe solid-state storage.
Two servers, with a dedicated standby role
ttt1 runs the live service. ttt2 holds a replicated copy and is ready to take over through a controlled failover procedure if the primary server becomes unavailable. This gives us a prepared recovery path for the website and music downloads.
The standby server was validated on 26 September 2026, including checks of the website and authorised downloads in an isolated test environment. This date marks the validation of the recovery setup; a production failover was not required.
NVMe storage and a renewed architecture
Both machines use NVMe storage, with a high-speed link between them for replication. Separate backups complement this arrangement: the standby server provides a recovery option, while backups preserve another route for restoring data.
These changes support the continuing development of the catalogue and its audio formats, while strengthening the infrastructure behind your visits and purchases.
