Tango Time Travel, the new tango music label and shop
Tango Time Travel is a new project providing high quality transfers from original shellac and early vinyl records. It’s intended towards DJs and tango lovers. The outcome of our preservation work will be released step by step via this website’s shop and can then be purchased and downloaded.
The name Tango Time Travel is connected to the novel “The Time Machine” by H. G. Wells. While listening to shellac records we always feel in front of a time capsule and traveling back in time. It’s also the fruit of a forum discussion with Michael Krugman, who later developed the Facebook Group Tango Time Machine, where we compared listening to old recordings to the usage of a time machine.
